So I tried the heavy crepe paper using the original template and it turned out better. The petal stay cupped when I glued it. And I found the updated template. I used the double sided crepe from the kit with that and it also worked better. I think the cut in the center really helped it to stay rounded. I’m so happy. Thanks!!
I really love the strawberry color. Wish it came as a single pack as well.
We do have it in a single-color pack. https://feltpaperscissors.com/product/lia-griffith-double-sided-crepe-paper-strawberry-tulip-pink/
Did you see the updated kit video? I think it works better for the double-sided https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/double-sided-crepe-paper-coral-charm-peonies/
I love peonies. I bought the kit and tried to make it after reading your book and watching the video. But the petals doesn’t seem to stay cupped after I stretch it. Any tips? Thank you
Are you using the crepe from the kits that is the double-sided version? Are you cupping it enough? It is hard to trouble shoot without seeing a pic. You can send one to hello@liagriffith.com and ask Emily to pass it along to me.
the instructions in the link are the same as the instructions in the kit. There is not a lot of detail re: cutting along folds? peony sepal?
Hi! The instruction sheet does not have much room, so the video is where you will find the most details!
I cannot find the SVG on the website for this kit. I am a member and cannot find it. Hoping you can direct me
Hi Laura! The instructions on the package lists the (private) URL for this kit.
I am new and I was hoping to buy this peony kit. I see it is sold out. Will you be making more? If not…is it possible to buy the patterns and materials used? I see the video but it would be a lot of work to have to go through it and write everything down. Thanks.
Hi Laurel! It should be restocked in the next week or so. It’s very similar to this project on our site if you can’t wait to get started š https://liagriffith.com/crepe-paper-peonies-for-fall/
The pattern for peony petal 1 says to cut 6 in juniper. You actual need to cut 6 in the color of your flower not in juniper. Which I didn’t. Had to watch the video twice to figure out what I did wrong.
Unfortunately there was an error on the pattern, I’m sorry š But the video is accurate, and the SVG and PDF pattern available to download on the kit page is correct.
Are there svg cut files for this kit?
Hi Becky,
There is a link to to the SVG files included in the kit! š
When I look at the paper that came with the kit, it shows me where to download the pdf file. I’m not sure where to find the svg
Hi Becky,
If you follow the link provided in the kit then scroll down to the flower you are making the link to download the SVG and the PDF is just under the kit photo and reads “Download Peony Template, SVG File & Instructions” Clicking this will download all of these files for you.
Iām finding it difficult to differentiate your SVG files of the same flower. It would be helpful if the files had a number so I can go back and easily find the SVG file I would like to use
Hi Barbara,
Thank you for the feedback, we will keep this in mind when naming files. You may also change the name of the file once downloaded to your device if there is a naming system that you prefer to help you differentiate. š
