VIDEO: Paper Flower and Greenery Centerpiece
The Centerpiece de Résistance
Can you tell which part of this arrangement is made out of paper? While I have made a lot of paper greenery, it’s the flowers! The three crepe paper flowers in this arrangement are my red charm peonies, anemones, and paperwhites. In today’s craft school video tutorial, I’m showing you how to create this paper flower and fresh greenery centerpiece for your holiday table. This would also make a gorgeous wedding arrangement.
Along with the paper flowers and fresh greenery, you will need a low container, chicken wire, wire cutters and floral cutters. In the video, I’ll show you how to use the chicken wire to secure your entire arrangement.

I have been really into eucalyptus lately for fall and winter flower arrangements. So I had to pick up some fresh eucalyptus for this centerpiece. I also wanted it to have a holiday feel without it looking too Christmasy. The pine branches along with the deep red color of the peonies and anemones are what give this centerpiece a festive flavor. I used the paperwhite flowers and purple anemones as accents, but they really make the whole thing pop!
In the video, you’ll learn how to arrange all of your greenery and how to tuck in your paper flowers so they don’t get wet. I also share some tips on how to create a good flow and shape to your centerpiece so every piece stands out but also looks balanced from every angle. If something doesn’t look quite right to you, you can always keep shifting things around and experimenting with it until your centerpiece looks exactly how you want it to!

Hi Lia,
How many flower stems of each flower variety do you have in this centrepiece? Also do you have any other suggestions for the focal flower, if I want to try something else?
Hi Hannah! Have you had time to watch the arrangement master class as well as the workshop? They are both in the Craft Academy. I talk a lot about focal flowers and how to choose them. You have access to those as an annual member until the end of the month.
