At the beginning of this year we shared a tutorial for a pretty little paper succulent wedding favor in a gold foiled pot. Along with the paper succulents were a couple paper hearts and flags that you guys ask about a lot! The little paper heart reads Thanks in the center and is attached to a cocktail stick which can then sit in a cupcake, plant pot or centerpiece. The little paper flags are blank for you to write the name of your guests, a small message or a phrase on. Similarly these are glued to a cocktail stick and popped into our paper succulent wedding favors.
If you would like to download the pattern for these two paper toppers you can either download the SVG file and use your cutting machine – the word thanks will be cut into the heart pattern. if you will be cutting by hand, download the PDF and the word thanks will be printed onto the paper. You can print as many as you need, trim to size and glue to the cocktail sticks. The little hearts would also make great confetti or table decorations if you wanted to use this pattern without the cocktail sticks. If you would like more handmade wedding ideas take a look at our DIY projects and inspiration here. Enjoy! ~ Lia

Hi Lia,
I am attempting to download the SVG file, however when I open the zip file, it only has the HTML document, and nothing else. Can you help with this?
Thanks!
It sounds like you’re downloading the HTML code and not the actual SVG file– make sure you’re single-clicking the download button (not choosing “save as”). This post may help? https://liagriffith.com/how-to-use-svg-files-for-cricut/
could you tell me please, what kind of the paper that you used? thanks anyway,
I used kraft cardstock found at Michaels! 🙂
Where did you find the cocktail sticks? I’m only seeing toothpicks in our grocery store and the ones you’ve used look longer than toothpicks.
I often find these at the craft store in the wood section where they have skewers and other sticks.
Hi Lia
What font did you use for “thanks” – I am using times new roman for a project but its kind of cutting the entire a leaving a big hole in the middle
will really appreciate if you could answer
thanks
As with many of our projects, we used a custom font. I hope you find something that works for you! For reference, our favorite website to use for fonts and graphics is creativemarket.com
Best,
Lia
Great cut! Do you have any recommendations for where to buy paper online for those of us in Canada? Cheers!
no, not really. Sorry! I know there is a company called Paper-Garden but I have never purchased anything from them. Please let us know if you find a good vendor.
