Woodland Candy Huggers for Valentine’s Day
Owl love you forever
Six years ago we made our first set of animal candy huggers for Valentine’s Day, and they are still one of our most popular projects. Since then, we’ve made different types of animal candy huggers as well as dinosaurs, mermaids, monsters, and more. But considering how many woodland animal projects we have on our site, we’re a little surprised that we haven’t designed any woodland candy huggers before today!
Because of the tiny details and intricate cuts, we recommend using a cutting machine for this project. However you can always cut your woodland candy huggers by hand with scissors and a detail knife.

Our template below includes four designs: a fox, squirrel, raccoon, and owl. Cut your woodland candy huggers out of paper of your choice with a cutting machine and our SVG file, or cut them out our PDF printable version. Along with the animals, there is also a sweet, little mushroom and acorn to cut out.
When you’re done cutting your woodland candy huggers, simply wrap their “arms” (or wings!) around a piece of candy, chocolate, or other small treats. Another fun idea is to include a little love note for them to hold! Whatever you do, we hope you share it with us on our Facebook page for members or by tagging #MadeWithLia on Instagram.
Instructions
Download our SVG file if using a cutting machine or our PDF template if cutting by hand. Use the recommended tools above to cut out your candy huggers, then stick some candy on. Easy peasy!
