Earlier this year, Anna and I went to Germany to attend Christmas World. We were so excited to see all the top trends for Christmas 2018. We took a lot of photos and notes! So today we’re sharing some of what we learned from this amazing event.

Think sapphire, emerald, ruby, amethyst, and topaz. These rich, vibrant colors can make rooms feel more elegant and glamorous. In addition to adding some sparkle, jewel tones instantly create a cozy, warm atmosphere.

Pink

Using non-traditional colors for Christmas is a big trend this year. Especially pink! When decorating, think soft pink, rose gold, dusty rose, blush, and champagne. These dreamy, romantic colors also look gorgeous paired with metallics.

White

If you want to go with a classic and timeless look for the holidays, choose a neutral tone like white. In addition to brightening up your space, white décor creates a calm atmosphere. It’s also commonly found in Scandinavian décor.

Minimalist 

The minimalist trend values simple, clean designs. It’s not just about de-cluttering, though. It’s about focusing on the holiday décor that’s meaningful to you. The minimalist look is also very trendy and associated with Scandinavian design.

Rustic/Natural 

Rustic décor focuses on natural elements and textures to create a cozy, inviting environment. Think natural materials like wood and natural colors found in greenery (real or faux). Woodland creatures, like deer, also fit into this trend.
