We're Having a Christmas Ball
Our felt ball bird ornaments combine roving wool for the head and wool-blend felt for the wings and tail. You can choose any color combination for your birds and easily make a whole flock for your tree. If you don't have a Christmas tree, you could easily hang them up from our pine branches or some other type of faux branch.
For the final touch, we used cinnamon sticks for our birds to hang out on. Not only does this make a cute, little perch for them to "sit" on, but it also adds a nice smell to your tree!Â
Other projects shown: Felt garland and crepe paper pine cone branches

Leave a CommentThese are so cute! Since it looks like you no longer carry the felt balls or Ashford Corriedale Wool on Felt Paper Scissors in the colors needed for these little birds, where do you recommend purchasing them?
Hello Michele. I changed the links for the balls and roving wool to a company that carries some beautiful felt. I can not guarantee the colors will be an exact match, but they will still look beautiful.
Thank you so much!
So dang cute!! Love the cinnamon stick idea!
Lol. When I was hunting for sticks, I found the perfect size in my pantry!
I love these little birds. I was able to find all the materials on Felt Paper Scissors, but a lot of things there are out of stock. Could you maybe make a kit with what is needed for this craft?
We are working really hard to keep things stocked, but it seems to be tricky right now. We have plans to make kits in the near future for many of our projects. Stay tuned!
Lia Thank you for your help I apologize for NOT opening the template to see it there!
I want to make LOTS of these for my tree! Again, thank you Patricia
I love these little birds! They will be so cute on your tree!
Li how far doen on the felt ball do you start to add the color?
Thank you Patricia
I added the color to the top half of the birds.
Lia where is the point on forehead of the bird ??
thank you Patricia Keane
If you open up the PDF template, there is a graphic of the bird so you can visually see where the colors starts on the ball.
