Is the template missing instructions for the green center fring? It says x1 but Megan used 2 and hers were much longer in length.

Thank you for the reply. I don’t think the video describes how long the fringe should be or whether it’s streched ahead of time. Based on what I can see, I’m guessing 2 pieces of 4x the pattern and no stretch ahead of time. Does that seem right?
On the PDF template, it shows a fold line and marked X2 which means you will need two of the double width. You will not need to stretch these ahead of time. Hope that helps.

It might be easy to miss. We use dotted lines for folds.

The template is at the correct size for the larger flower so you should not need to enlarge anything. 🙂

Wow these giant flowers look so cool! I just got all my supplies and would like to cut pattern on my Cricut, but it’s way too big. Has anyone divided up the mats so we don’t change the size? I’m using original Maker. I would like to get things ready. Thanks!
Hi Carmen. If you hide the designer notes layer, the template will fit. A note from Meagan, they are super easy and faster to cut by hand, but you can certainly use the Cricut. 😉

I’m so excited to make this jumbo dahlia! I’m trying to use materials I already have in my stash… I have a lot of heavy crepe in Plum and Merlot/Bordeaux. I think the Plum might be the best choice between the two. What color pan pastel would you recommend if I use either of these colors?
I love darker dahlias! Perfect choice. Maybe make one of each. 😉 I would use a bright pink pastel to make the centers really pop. That with the bright green and darker petals. . . so pretty.

Yes! The two of the two fold packs (3-4 folds) of each color will make one giant flower. 🙂
