using this flower in as a wedding gift, using the prim rose from master class and I was going to do both versions of this flower. the one from the member make and this one. do you think look stubid? and I ordered white paper from you, thinking of using water color pink on tops of flower instead of light purple you used in this video.
That sounds lovely to me!
do you use most of you crafts in low temperature hot glue?
We usually reach for our low-temp glue gun, but we find the high-temp works best with frosted paper projects. And sometimes tacky glue works better with crepe paper flowers and leaves depending on the flower.
I noticed that this pattern is different from the member make lisianthus pattern you did in April 2019. Is it just a different way to make the lisianthus? the end results looks very similar.
Yes, this is a more simple version created a couple years before the pattern created for the Member Make 🙂
I can’t get the svg file to work in cricut design space. I haven’t had this problem with any of the other files, but this is the flower I really, really want to make! Any tips? It seems like the file might be damaged. Thanks!
Try the file we just uploaded!
Nevermind, I got it to work! Yay!
Any tips on how to secure crepe paper flower bouquets in clear glass vases that is attractive and won’t move around? Thank you!
You could try the tape grid method with clear tape? We don’t use clear vases all that often since we like to use rice, foam or moss to keep blooms in place.
Do you offer kits for your floral projects? I’d love to buy a kit and have all the materials (minus tools ofcourse) included for a type of flower.
Hi Martha! We’re working on some kits, hoping to share more this fall/winter 🙂
I see where there are two centers, but I don’t see where they’re brought together. In the Illustration, the foam ball looks like it’s alone, and not included at the beginning when forming the stamen. ??? Thank you for your (I hope) explanation.
Ack! There was a mistake in the tutorial, thanks for pointing this out. Step 4 shows how the fringe is cut and twisted, and explains that it’s then glued around the existing style piece. Step 9 shows the foam ball which is only used when making a bud, not the full bloom. I hope that helps!
Instructions are very unclear, are there two centers to these flowers?
Hi Katie, yes there is a stigma and a stamen. They’re labeled on the PDF template.
Hi Lia
I love Lisianthus—ive done them in fine crepe, as well. I cant wait to try them with your new colors of fine crepe. I even had them in my briday bouquet along with orange roses. One of these days, im going to recreate my bridal bouquet from your new fine crepe—stay tuned!!!
Ohhh we’d love to see that!!
