I used the green tea and cypress but if you cut the svg as shown the leaves are two tone when put together. I had to recut the entire pattern and flip the paper over to get two halves of the same color. Does that make sense?.Problem solved but I ended up using twice as much paper as I had planned.
I’m so sorry the SVG was misleading, this is how I cut to make the project but failed to make it clear for you! You now have enough leaves for two branches! We have updated the SVG so that you can get 10 full leaves in one cut.
Thanks, I am loving this project. The technique of using the ball tool to make the veins is brillant. They are coming out so nice. I used 3 pan pastels to color. The Dairylide yellow, Burnt Sienna shade(740.3) and permanent Red extra dark (340.1)
So fun and will give this Florida transplant memories of Nw England fall!
And I’m glad to have 2 branches.
That sounds gorgeous! There are so many variations in nature. 🙂
The downloads for this currently are linked to the opening page for the month. Could you have the IT crew fix this, and let us know. Thanks!
Thanks for letting us know! It is updated. 🙂
Oh, I almost forgot the materials list states green tea/ cypress paper and the PDF pattern states ferns/ moss. Are you using both?
We only used Green Tea & Cypress. We have updated the pattern! 🙂
If I wanted to make some of the leaves with a red or orange tint to them what colors of pan pastel would work best? Thanks.
I would recommend the Orange 280.5 and Permanent Red 340.5
Do you think Caffe is similar enough in color to use for this project instead of espresso or is caffe too dark?
You can totally use it! 🙂
