How cute is this mermaid pillow? Sometimes we love a design so much that we use it to create all kinds of DIY crafts. After designing our mermaid candy huggers, we thought they would be fun to use again. So we came up with this “fin-tastic” mermaid pillow that you can make for your little one.
This mermaid pillow is a simple heat transfer vinyl project. All you have to do is download our SVG file or PDF template, cut and weed out the design, and transfer it over to a pillow with a Cricut EasyPress or iron.
Mermake this fabulous pillow
To create an under the sea look for our mermaid pillow, we used a silky soft pillow cover from Amazon and chose a blue-green shade. The exact color is linked below, but you can always choose a different shade or even a completely different color. Keep in mind if you choose a purple or pink pillow instead that you may want to use different colors of heat transfer vinyl as well so the mermaid iron-on stands out.
We also have some cute stuffies that would be so fun to pair with this mermaid pillow in a kid’s bedroom! If you’re looking for some under the sea bedroom decor, be sure to check out our felt mermaid doll as well as our felt octopus stuffie, felt starfish, and felt seahorse stuffies. Or you can browse our DIY decor for kids to get more ideas.
