If you love pumpkin decor, we have a super simple craft idea for you today! Our painted mini pumpkins are a fun and easy project for channeling the magic of autumn. We painted our assorted mini artificial pumpkins in a variety of pastel acrylic shades. Pastel colors are ultra trendy this season (and have been for a while now), but feel free to create a color palette of your own design!
Some other projects that complement these painted mini pumpkins are our painted paper leaf garland (shown below). You could also make this paper leaf fall wreath. Or find more ways to use your painted leaves in this post. With all of these project ideas, you can easily decorate your home for fall in one weekend!
What’s great about this project is its versatility. Use your painted mini pumpkins as an accent anywhere throughout your home — all the way up until you’re ready to switch your decor for Christmas. Then store them when the season’s through and bring them back next year, at which time you can repaint them in a new color palette if you want! The pumpkin fun-kin never stops!
If you want to style them on your mantel, some other fall decor ideas that would look pretty with these painted mini pumpkins are our paper feather candle wraps. You could also scatter them on your dining table for Thanksgiving and use painted leaves as part of your table settings.
Ready to paint your pumpkins? Just gather the tools and materials below. Then follow our simple instructions. This is a fun craft activity to do with friends and family, so get everyone together and start painting!
