Become a MemberIn the past we have designed a few different versions of will you be my bridesmaid cards. I don’t mean to be biased, but I think this is my favorite one! Our chalkboard bridesmaid cards are beautiful, and a great option to attach to a nice bottle of bubbly. Our rustic ones are refined and feminine, and our floral cards are elegant and understated. But these paper dress will you be my bridesmaid cards are simply the cutest!
The downloads below include two versions of the will you be my bridesmaid cards (including a maid of honor card of course!) and two versions of envelope liners. Choose between the white version or the kraft version, and then pair the will you be my bridesmaid cards with either a light pink envelope liner or a mint colored liner. The cards are 5 x 7 and are best printed onto white card stock. The kraft background is included in the design, so this one should be printed onto white card stock too! I would recommend printing the envelope liners onto regular copy paper so that they will fold more easily when you stick them in your envelopes.
Now for the best part of these will you be my bridesmaid cards: the paper dresses! We have an SVG file available to use with a cutting machine or a PDF file if you will be cutting by hand. We cut the dress out on a pretty colored text weight paper that we picked up at Paper Source (card stock would be too thick to fold these dresses). There are three pieces of the paper dresses: the sweetheart neck bodice, the skirt, and the cute little bow. Cut out these pieces and then fold along the dotted lines. To attach the pieces together, we used a glue dot roller instead of hot glue for a mess-free project. After the dress was assembled we then secured it to the front of the will you be my bridesmaid cards with the same glue dot roller. The back of the card is blank, so feel free to add a sweet personalized message! Stick these cards into A7 sized envelopes and they are ready to hand out to your bridal party! Can you make a pdf having both cards says will you be my bridesmaid. I need more of them & just 1 maid of honor.
Thanks,
Alice
Yes I just rearranged the PDF so the Bridesmaid cards are on one page and Maid of Honor is on another!
Beautiful! I’m impressed. Can you make one like a invitation for a baby shower?
That is a great idea we can add it to our list 🙂
I’m trying to download the SVG. I click download and nothing happens.
Never mind. Used a different browser 😀
Oh good!
Hi – I’m a Cricut user and one of the Make it Now projects is a tuxedo card for a groom to send to his prospective groomsmen. I’ve made that card and its so cute but as a rule I don’t think men would send a card like that but I DO feel that gals would. I know that you are one of the Cricut designers – have you considered creating a Will You be My Bridesmaid card (with a dress on the front) for Cricut users? The dress should be like the one’s you’ve created for those that have a membership. Any thoughts?

We actually did make a card with that dress! 🙂 https://liagriffith.com/paper-dress-will-you-be-my-bridesmaid-cards/
Hello Idownload the svg file and cut the dress with my BrotherDesign and Cut, but for the skirt, lines for the pleats are complete instead of dotted. So all is cut ! I don’t know what to do.
Sorry for my english, i live in Belgium 🙂
Anne
Hi Anne, I’m so sorry but we don’t know how the software for the Brother machines work. In Cricut’s Design Space, you’re able to select the lines you want to want to score and change them. I’d suggest contacting Brother’s customer service to help you!
I have made these and they are beautiful! Do you have a pattern for the envelopes or is it store bought and then you just line them? If I want to make the envelopes, is there any pattern on your site that I can use that will be the right size? Thanks!
Hi! No, we don’t have a pattern for the envelopes. We buy them at Paper-papers.com 🙂
These are really cute. In making the pleats do the pattern directions show which direction the pleats are suppose to go? I have tried making one and it didn’t look the best because it didn’t include good directions.
Hi Loraine! We did a follow-up post here that has a step-by-step tutorial.
These are great. I’m getting married in December. I Love them.
Congratulations! So glad you love these 🙂
