Polymer clay is perfect for DIY jewelry because it’s malleable and therefore really easy to shape. It’s also inexpensive and easy to find. Scroll down to see the tools and materials you’ll need to make your own polymer clay earrings. 

Clay it Up

All you need for these polymer clay earrings are a few tools and materials. If you want to start making more DIY jewelry, wire cutters and pliers will become your two best friends.

• Pliers
• Needle Nose Pliers / Wire Cutters
• Sandpaper
• Paintbrush

Materials

• Sculpey Polymer Clay – Turquoise
• Gold Wire – 20 Gauge
• Mod Podge

Instructions

1. Bend end of wire 45 degrees with pliers.
2. Use needle-nose pliers to create a loop.
3. Wrap end of wire around once, then cut off excess wire.
4. Shape wire as shown. Cut excess wire and slightly bend upward.
