We have made quite a few crepe paper poppies over the years and have found that extra-fine crepe paper is perfect for creating the delicate, ruffled look of these blooms. In my video tutorial for our crepe paper poppy flower kit, I show you how to shape the petals to get this gorgeous texture. Just follow along as you craft your own poppies and let me know if you have any questions!

Altogether you can make six blooms and six buds with our crepe paper poppy flower kit. We typically like to include buds in our flower arrangements because it makes them look more realistic. You can also get creative with your kit and leave off the stems if you want to create a poppy flower wreath.

When you’re done crafting your flowers, we’d love to see them! Share them with us and the rest of the crafting community by posting pictures on your Instagram or Facebook and using the hashtag #MadeWithLia. You can also message me the pictures if you prefer that instead.

For more flower templates and tutorials, join our crafting community. We have plenty more crepe paper poppies as well as other types of flowers! You can also browse our YouTube channel for more paper flower tutorials.
