VIDEO: Double-Sided Crepe Chocolate Cosmos
Cheerful Cosmos
Depending on where you live, cosmos flowers bloom during the summer and don’t last past the first frost. Unless they’re made out of paper, of course! One of the great things about making paper flowers is that you can enjoy your favorite flowers any time of the year and for as long as you want. Today I am showing you how to make these crepe paper chocolate cosmos flowers using my double-sided crepe paper in sangria and aubergine. The rest of the tools and materials you’ll need are listed below—along with a video tutorial that shows you how to craft these beautiful flowers.
Also, if you prefer working with felt, then you might enjoy making these felt cosmos flowers. Another project that would look really pretty with this one is our asymmetrical winter wreath.

I enjoy paper flowers using frosted, metallic, shimmer paper, probably all the same. I’d rather not paint. I’m not very artistic but I can make flowers. I’m wondering if the paper used makes a difference or is the template made for any paper?
Hi! You are certainly welcome to customize your project and leave out the painting if you prefer. Our patterns and templates are designed specifically with the paper in mind, and most will not translate well to different types of paper.
These are so pretty ! Maybe it’s because the colors are my favorite and I always loved gold !
So glad to hear it Debra 🙂
