Goodies You Can't Google
You've found a member-exclusive project. But for less than the price of a fancy coffee... You'll get instant access to this and over 2,000 other premium projects inside the Lia Griffith membership!
Become a MemberThe ranunculus is definitely a one in a million flower! Our crepe paper peachy watermelon ranunculus features 90 small petals, so we recommend using a Cricut Maker to save some time. If you don’t have a Maker, you can still cut your petals by hand using our PDF template.
Since ranunculus flowers bloom in the spring, now is a great time to make them so you can enjoy these flowers a little early as well as all summer long. Our pink and orange crepe paper colors are also perfect for summer. We will show you in our live workshop how to layer your petals and vary the colors so your crepe paper peachy watermelon ranunculus blooms look realistic. We did not include a tutorial for the leaves in this live video, so go to the video on our Crepe Paper Ranunculus Kit post to learn how!

Hello Lia,
First sorry for my bad english. I’d like to know if you will add later photo tutorial. I sometimes don’t understand every explanation in the video (particularly in this one how to rotate correctly the petals) and the photo tutorial is a good help for me, cause I can magnify the image.
Thanks a lot
We do the photo tutorial as often as we can but unfortunately, this one did not get that extra step.
Lia, What’s the non fading spray for the lightest pink crepe paper?
We’ve used Krylon’s UV-Resistant Clear spray that helps with fading.
can you cut crepe paper with a cutting machine?
You need a Cricut Maker or Silhouette Cameo 4 — these are the only two machines that cut crepe. We have a video on this if you are considering getting a cutting machine: https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/11-things-to-consider-before-buying-a-cutting-machine/.
Only the Cricut Maker and Silhouette Cameo 4 will cut crepe paper. Check out our video with more info: https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/cutting-machines-for-crepe-paper/
I your shipping fast to Australia and can you track your order?
Currently with USPS it is supposed to take 6-10 working days, but due to COVID it can be significantly delayed. Unfortunately, it only tracks until it leaves the USA and then there is no tracking. We are working on switching to UPS which should be better on both these fronts. Our Material Sources page has some local options (https://liagriffith.com/source-list/)!
I am having trouble getting the ranunculus video to play! Is there a direct link, it taking me to sign in but still cannot play? Help. I have it cut but can’t see the video tutorial!
Give this a try: https://youtu.be/4Cpsxz8zFJY
I’m really struggling with the underneath of the flower. It always looks like a big mess. How do you keep it so unified? If I am trying not to use the stem, it bulks up so much.
Hi Lorie,
Be sure that you rotate the petals around and that each is a similar distance, do not glue the petals on to the stem but onto each other and use a very small amount of glue.
Can you please share a link to the tutorial for the leaves you used in the bouquet?
Hi Anne,
We just made some basic leaves to add to this bouquet, they are the same seen in this peony arrangement and can be found in the template.

Hello,
I recently just renewed my membership, with a large reason to be able to download the SVG file of this flower. While I have no problem with the PDF, when I try to download/open the SVG I get an error on my screen saying “Operation couldn’t be completed. Operation not permitted”. Have you heard of anyone else experiencing this issue? &, is there another way I could gain access to the SVG file? Any help would be appreciated, I love your flowers! -Nat
Hi Natalie,
You must unzip the SVG file before uploading it to design space. Check out this video we have about how to use our SVG files with cricut https://liagriffith.com/how-to-use-svg-files-for-cricut/ if you have anymore issues with our files please email us at hello@liagriffith.com so we can better assist you. 🙂
