For the last no-sew costume of our series this year (see the dragon, superhero boy and girl, bandit and butterfly here), we are going to do a little flash-back from a few years ago. As a fun little vacation, I took Emily and her boyfriend to meet my sister and her two teen boys for the Micky’s Halloween party at Disneyland. For this event, everyone dresses up and it is just a hoot! If you ever have a chance to go, do it! I will share my costume on Halloween in a few Fridays. My sister and I dressed as the Hocus Pocus Sandersons. Emily and Alex decided to be a “street-style” Red Riding Hood and Wolf, so I volunteered to make the wolf hoodie and red cape for their costumes. The cape was something I made on the sewing machine, but this adorable wolf hoodie was a simple no-sew project. I used black, grey, yellow and white felt and attached the pieces with hot glue. So simple! You can find the step-by-step tutorial below as well as the printable pattern for the wolf face and claws. Though I made it for a full grown adult, I have designed the wolf face pattern for kids and babies as well. This costume would be so cute on a baby! You can see the photos of Emily and Alex at Disneyland at the end of the post. We had such a great time I am planning to join two of my sister’s there again next year. We may even take the kids. Cheers! ~ Lia

Is there a way to get the pdf without having to sign up for a membership?
Hi Wendy! No, this is not one of our freebies. You can always sign up for one month then cancel when you have downloaded the project(s) you want.
Please let me know why there are two black nose tips, seems like one doesn’t show? With the first gray nose glued under the hood, then at the end I am to glue the second one under the hood also, doesn’t make sense to me. I am in the middle of this so would appreciate an answer soon. Thank you, Alyson
Hi Alyson! Thank you for reaching out. It looks like this may have been a mis-type on the pattern. Believe it or not, this post is over four years old! You should only have one nose tip on the end of the nose for the side that will be showing when the hood is up.
We hope this helps, please let us know if you have any further questions and we would be happy to help!
Very cool! I am going to convert this to a “raccoon” costume for a friend. Thanks for the great idea and PDF 🙂
What a fun idea! Please share pictures with us at hello@liagriffith.com
Hello Lia. I discovered your blog through Pinterest when I was searching for a DIY wolf costume to make for my son. i just wanted to say thank you for this DIY tutorial. As a mother with no experience at making anything related to sewing, you saved my life and helped me score so many points at school! The costume was a huge success so I wrote about it on my blog. Oh and I added a hairy chest!
Again thank you.
Fantastic!! And what a great idea adding a hairy chest! Would love to see some pictures (hello@liagriffith.com)
