The Lady of the Lake Rose Video Workshop
Lovely Lady
Now and then, we get to craft a flower that’s earned a name just as beautiful as the bloom itself. The Lady of the Lake Rose is one of those rare varieties. Soft, graceful, and touched with a bit of storybook romance, it's the perfect choice for our July Member Make, where we'll gather to recreate every delicate petal together.

Unlike many classic varieties, the Lady of the Lake Rose carries a story long before it ever reaches the garden. For instance, the name itself dates back to the Arthurian legend, where a mysterious Lady of the Lake presents King Arthur with the sword Excalibur.
While unknown, the figure embodies wisdom, beauty, and quiet strength. Qualities also reflected in the gorgeous rose that bears her name. What's more, its delicate blush color and climbing habit give it an ethereal quality, making it a favorite in English-style gardens and cottage landscapes. Additionally, this variety has an effortless grace and movement that makes it a joy to recreate in crepe paper.
Petal by petal, we'll work to reveal the soft curves and layered elegance that make this bloom so unforgettable. Throughout the workshop, we'll shape, assemble, and refine each detail using extra-fine crepe paper, floral wire, and simple shaping tools. Although this is one of our more advanced projects, you won't be crafting alone. We'll be there to guide you every step of the way, alongside a community that's always ready to cheer you on.
Whether this is your first Member Make or one of many, we're so glad you'll be crafting alongside us this month. Don’t forget to share your finished Lady of the Lake Rose with our community using #MemberMake.

I’m joining my first Member Make today and plan to order your book since I can’t often join your live events. See you in a little bit!
So happy you joined us! As a member, you will have access to all the replays as well, and if you are an annual member, you have access to the full master class. 🙂
I’m curious how many spun balls I need. Do the buds use a 20mm and a 6mm? And each flower uses just the 6mm?
I just confirmed with Meagan. Three of the 6mm and one 20mm eggs.
I started making flowers to give as gifts. I’ve completed very few flowers, but not to the extent of this rose, which I’m determined to make! I’m debating on the online monthly membership or if the book provides up close, hands on that I need. Your feedback would help!

Hey Kathleen! The beauty of the membership is that it offers live paper-flower workshops and a video library. As a monthly member, you can join us for the rose workshop and keep it bookmarked to make when you are ready. Starting in September, we will be filming a live workshop every Friday, and then showing how to arrange them in the last class. So, is the membership worth it? Absolutely! If you are like me, learning with a video adds a lot of value. A great place to start and maybe test our videos is this foundation series. These are all based on the book, too. https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/tracks/crepe-paper-flower-foundations-series/
