Are you ready to make this beginner crepe paper poinsettia plant? I have made this version from red and green crepe paper; you can easily mix and match these colors with different shades of red or white! Before you start, watch the intro video, where I show all of my tips and tricks for cutting crepe paper for this project.

Materials
- Lia Griffith Heavy Crepe Paper Christmas Collection 10-Pack
- Cotton Spun Paper Balls — 6mm
- Gold Hoop — 10″ or 12″
- Binding Wire — Green (used in the class) or Natural (can be used as an alternate option)
- Green Floral Tape
- 3 pieces of 12×12 Cardstock Paper (colors of your choice )
- White Glue — Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue or Art Glitter Glue
- Hot Glue Gun — Low Temp or High Temp
- Mod Podge – Matte
- Karin Brush Markers — Amber and Magenta Red
- Gold Marker (optional)
- PanPastel — Bright Yellow-Green (optional)
- Paintbrushes (for Mod Podge and for PanPastel)
Since this is a crepe paper Christmas series, you can start with this intro video and get all of my tips and tricks for cutting your crepe paper.
In this series, I am using our 10-pack Christmas crepe paper bundle. In addition to the crepe paper poinsettia plant, you can learn how to make:
- a lush holiday magnolia for your gift toppers or tree decor
- a bright holly berry wreath
- colorful crepe holiday cone trees to grace your mantel
This starter pack is German-made heavy crepe paper, but you can make these projects with our German-made double-sided or extra-fine crepe paper for a slightly different result.
