Crepe Paper Holiday Magnolia Video Workshop
Are you ready to make this beginner crepe paper holiday magnolia? I have made this version from white, gold, and green crepe paper; you can easily mix and match these colors with different shades of crepe! Before you start, watch the intro video, where I show all of my tips and tricks for cutting crepe paper for this project.
Since this is a crepe paper Christmas series, you can start with this intro video and get all of my tips and tricks for cutting your crepe paper.
In this series, I am using our 10-pack Christmas crepe paper bundle. In addition to the crepe paper holiday magnolia, you can learn how to make:
- a bright holly berry wreath
- colorful crepe holiday cone trees to grace your mantel
- and a potted poinsettia plant perfect for beginners
This starter pack is German-made heavy crepe paper, but you can make these projects with our German-made double-sided or extra-fine crepe paper for a slightly different result.
You will find all of the tools and materials for all four projects with links, templates, and worksheets.

Back to the TopHi Lia-
I love this magnolia! Did you hand cut the petals or use a cricut?
This is made from the heavy crepe, so I find it easier to hand-cut. You can use the Cricut, if you prefer. Have you watched the Cricut class where I give you the tips on cutting the heavy crepe paper? Here is a link in case you have not seen it. https://liagriffith.com/craft-academy/a-crafters-guide-to-the-cricut-maker/lessons/7-cutting-crepe-paper-2/
Hi, I don’t have any heavy crepe in white (snowflake/eggnog) colors and wonder if I can combine this project with the doblette instead (white vanilla from meagan’s version). Do you think it’s a faux pas to combine double sided flowers with heavy paper leaves, or would it bother your that the textures are mismatched?
Oh yes! I love the double-sided crepe paper for this flower. Please do it!
