Every year we like to switch it up and give you new Christmas tree decorating ideas. This year, we’ve come up with a dove Christmas tree theme, featuring a glittery pink peace banner, a papercut olive branch garland, soft felt doves, and a felt dove tree topper. We also added two handmade projects from last year — our felt bird ornaments and our pretty pink and burgundy embroidered felt ornaments.
Since we’ve already shared most of the projects above, today we’re sharing the last two additions to our dove Christmas tree. Below you will find the patterns to make our olive branch garland and PEACE banner. We recommend using a cutting machine for the garland but you can certainly cut it by hand with our PDF template.
A Symbol of Peace
Our dove Christmas tree has such a sweet and serene look to it. We also love the idea of creating a symbol of love and peace for the holiday season. And considering you are making these ornaments with your own hands, there will be even more love and care poured into it!
To recreate our dove Christmas tree, just gather the tools and materials listed here. The “peace” SVG and olive branch garland SVG can be found below. Or you can download and print our PDF template to cut these decorations by hand. The rest of our DIY ornaments are linked below!

Hi Lia,
Love this tree! I am going to try and make these ornaments to have the tree ready for next year! For the garland, did you glue the pieces together or drape them along the tree?
This is one of my favorites! actually just draped them just where it was visible since the tree was in a corner of the room. It is also easier to arrange when they are not so long.
