Kid’s Valentine Project Round-Up
Kids Valentine DIYs!
My team and I love coming up with ideas for handmade children’s Valentine’s Day gifts and this year has been a blast. I wanted to bring them all together in one final post for those of you who fancy a little afternoon crafting before the big day.

Our quick and easy candy huggers are a simple project for those with a Cricut machine, just pop a little chocolate heart on the bear’s belly and have the kiddos fold the little arms around to give it a hug. The printable Valentine cards are perfect if you are short on time, just print, trim and write names in the blanks – simple! The desktop mailbox is ideal for collecting all the little treats your child might receive during the day at school and the printable valentines labels are great for personalizing any store bought gifts. The paper heart garland is great for those who are new to the sewing machine – just trim the hearts in a variety of solid and glitter papers and stitch them together down the middle.
Finally I just had to include the mini felt heart hugging bears. I don’t expect anyone will have the time (or the patience!) to make one for each and every classmate but what about crafting one pair for a special friend? However you and your little ones choose to show your love on Valentines Day, I hope you have lots of fun. Join our membership program to download and make these projects today. Enjoy! ~ Lia

Obrigado por seu doce comentário. I hope Google Translate got that right, sometimes their translations are a bit funny;-)
Yup that’s what I did wrong. Mine measure 2.5″ by 2″. Thanks that is helpful. Also while we are on cricut I tried to make your Halloween village and I bought the glitter card stock. It did not cut all the way through the paper. I used card stock setting. Do I need a different blade? Or different setting? I really want to make all the projects you made available to us. Please help me again.
Glitter paper is so thick I would recommend using the setting half way between fabric and poster board. In general I use a setting on the dial that is a little deeper than the material you use. Enjoy your new machine!
After my last post I went out and bought a Cricut Explore. I cut out the candy huggers and bought a bag of doves to hug. They didn’t fit. Did I not make the huggers big enough or did you use a different brand of candy. Please let me know what I did wrong. Thank you.
Congrats on your new machine!! It will definitely make crafting easier! Without seeing your project I am guessing the huggers needs to be re-sized larger. Mine are about 3×3″
