Hope you can join us for one of our paper flower master classes! There are so many great tips and tricks. In the meantime, we also have a lot of great videos.
Wonderful intro. You make curling petals look so easy, Lia, but I suspect you’ve got golden hands! I’m practicing with extra pieces from your frosted kits but I sometimes leave unwanted pressure lines, and haven’t yet achieved the dimensional fullness of your petals. I’d appreciate your advice.
Start by curling very softly and with less pressure then add pressure and find your sweet spot. I also roll my thumb along the curling tool as well. We will have a class coming on this so stay tuned and you can join me for this!
Really enjoyed learning your history. Good thing you worked for Xerox or your life certainly would be different. Thanks Xerox for hiring Lia! This was a good lesson for everyone…whether you love crepe or frosted.
Thanks, Linda! I am not a “corporate” girl so it was an odd placement for me in my graphic design career. But it ended up being one of my favorite jobs. I was hired at Nike right after that and left after 8 weeks because I was bored out of my mind. LOL. So, the point being, you never know where things might take you. 😉
I didn’t think there was much of a difference between frosted and regular paper. Your course has opened my eyes and made my creative juices start flowing again! Thank you so much.
I tried googling frosted craft paper and the only thing that came up is your frosted paper , there has to be other people that make it. I’m just starting thinking about making flowers I just got a new cricut maker so I’m excited about using it.
Oh yes, there are many gorgeous frosted papers out there. You can look up “pearlized” or “metallic” paper as well. Paperpapers.com has beautiful options.
Metallic is the term they use on the site, instead of Frosted. Metallic, frosted, shimmer, pearlized– different terms for the same kind of shiny paper 🙂

I saw on that website that there was metallic card stock but I did not see any of the frosted paper does it go by any other name on there?
